Rhythm Minder™ ("we", "our", "us") is a life and health reminder application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information You Provide:
- Email address (for account creation)
- Display name (optional)
- Reminder content (schedules, notes, medication names — only what you create)
- Profile picture (optional, stored in Firebase Storage)
Information Collected Automatically:
- Usage analytics (opt-in only, via Firebase Analytics)
- Crash reports (anonymized, via Firebase Crashlytics)
- Device type and OS version (for compatibility)
- App version
Information We Do NOT Collect:
- Health data is never sold to third parties
- Location tracking history (location is used only for travel-time reminders, not stored)
- Browsing habits or cross-app tracking
- Contacts or phone call logs
3. How We Store Your Data
Local Storage (On-Device):
- All reminder data stored locally in SQLite database
- User preferences stored in Hive (key-value store)
- The app works fully offline — no internet required for core functionality
Cloud Storage (Optional):
- Only activated when you sign in and enable cloud sync (Plus/Pro tiers)
- Data stored in Google Cloud Firestore
- All cloud data is encrypted on your device before upload using industry-standard encryption
- Data encrypted in transit via TLS 1.3

5. Advertising
- Advertisements are shown only to Free tier users
- We use Google AdMob for banner and interstitial ads
- Ad personalization follows Google's advertising policies
- Upgrading to any paid tier removes all advertisements
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data through the app's backup/export feature (JSON format)
- Export all your reminder data at any time (Settings → Backup & Restore)
- Delete your account and all associated data (Settings → Delete Account)
- Opt out of analytics (device settings)
Account Deletion:
When you delete your account:
- All cloud data is deleted from Firestore immediately
- Local SQLite database is deleted
- Hive preferences are cleared
- Encryption keys are destroyed
- Firebase account is deleted
- This action is permanent and cannot be undone
7. Data Retention
- Local data persists on your device until you uninstall the app or delete your account
- Cloud data is deleted within 30 days of account deletion
- Anonymized analytics data may be retained for up to 14 months
8. Children's Privacy
Rhythm Minder is not designed for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at rhythmminder@gmail.com.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by updating the "Last Updated" date.
